Shopping Hot Spots in Newport Beach are
Retail Therapy with Coastal Flair
Newport Beach shopping offers the most desirable brands and products, all within a mile or two of the beach. Our favorites are the outdoor centers that have curated casual but chic shops that celebrate coastal style.
Al Fresco Shopping in Newport Beach
Take advantage of the perfect SoCal weather and head to Newport’s renowned outdoor shopping centers. All roads lead to Fashion Island, which sits on a plateau overlooking the ocean. Here you’ll find prestigious stores and specialty boutiques, along with nationwide staples for all your shopping needs. Or take a drive down the Pacific Coast Highway to the Crystal Cove Shopping Center, which sits right by the ocean. What this shopping center lacks in size, it makes up for in stellar shops and restaurants. You’ll find upscale dining like Javier’s or walk-up joints like Bear Flag. You can shop in anything from a Gap to an Aston Martin dealership. If you want to stay in the heart of Newport, you’ll be woefully disappointed if you miss out on a visit to Lido Marina Village. Situated down a charming brick lane, this small village of shops is both chic and accessible and the perfect destination for an afternoon out.

The Lab – Anti-Mall in Costa Mesa
Shopping Has Never Looked So Good!
You Don’t Even Have to Leave the Zip Code
A word about South Coast Plaza: yes, it’s a large mall complex like any other in the country. This mall, however, boasts the highest sales of any in the country – and you can tell! The degree of luxury sold here and the amount of wealth willing to purchase it is something to behold. The only tip we have for you is this: go ahead and reserve the full day for a South Coast Plaza shopping spree. You’ll want it. But for something on the complete opposite spectrum, visit The Lab. Down the street from South Coast Plaza, this funky outdoor destination calls itself an “anti-mall,” with trend-setting shops and an even trendier scene. You can thrift here, sip wine here, or indulge in some funky, but not-so-cheap brands.
South Coast Plaza: 3333 Bristol St, Costa Mesa, 92626
The Lab: 2930 Bristol St, Costa Mesa, 92626
