Fetching Outings for the Whole Family

Tour the Newport Harbor by Boat: Hop onto one of the many harbor cruises and tours that take off daily with the Fun Zone Boat Company. As long as your dog is leashed, you both can enjoy the great outdoors from the water.  Float past the palatial bayside homes, spot the sea lions lounging on the private docks and yachts, and see Newport Beach from a whole new gorgeous angle.

Enjoy a Romp at these Dog-Friendly Parks, Beaches, and Trails

Newport Beach Public Beaches: Dogs are welcome on any of the city’s 10 miles of beaches before 9:00am or after 4:30pm. As long as your dog is leashed, your pup can romp and play all they’d like! (Currently, there is an unofficial dog beach at the Newport Beach River Jetties where dogs play together lease-free at all times of the day – check it out at your own discretion). The Newport Beach boardwalk, which stretches from one end of the Balboa Peninsula to the other, though, is always open to dogs.

Newport Beach Dog Park: Rated online as one of the cleanest, well-maintained dog parks around, the Newport Beach Dog Park features water fountains, pristine turf, and even ocean views. There’s both a large and small dog area along with water fountains for those with four-legs.

Paws-itively Perfect Pet-Friendly Vacation Homes

There are a few hotels in Newport Beach that allow for overnight pets, but they all require non-refundable pet deposits. This can add up the more nights you stay in town. These hotels are also far from the action, requiring guests to hop in their car in order to enjoy all of the pet-friendly activities Newport has to offer. With your dog in tow, it’s much more enjoyable (and affordable!) to take advantage of the many pet-friendly vacation homes right on the Newport Beach peninsula. Steps from the sand, you and your pooch can ditch the car and experience the sights easily on foot. And without the nightly pet fees, you can use the extra cash to spend your money on things that really get your tail wagging.
