In 2020, a coalition of local businesses launched the Safe Health Initiative Pledge (S.H.I.P. Shape). It outlines the safe and proactive practices local businesses are committed to implementing during this public safety crisis. The precautions are simple and straight-forward, yet effective. Those who take the pledge guarantee to:
- Adhere to guidelines issued by the County and State.
- Frequently clean and sanitize high-touch areas.
- Require face coverings and encourage frequent hand washing.
- Maintain capacities in accordance with City, County and State guidance.
- Monitor the health of employees.
