6 Reasons Why Lido Marina Village is the Spot to Shop in Newport Beach this Summer!

Your Travel Guide @ Beachview Vacations

April 16, 2021

Tucked away in Newport Beach is Lido Marina Village, a center of shops and restaurants along a charming brick lane with a waterfront view.

It’s everything you could ever want in a summer shopping spree. Skip the crowds and congestion of Rodeo Drive and escape to the chic and relaxed Newport shopping scene.

Lido Marina Village is
Picture-Perfect from Every Angle

We can’t emphasize enough how drop-dead gorgeous this place is! In addition to overlooking the Newport harbor with its yachts and multi-million dollar waterfront mansions, Lido Marina Village is bedecked with murals, lounge areas, and ever-changing art installations. It’s like this place was designed for sunny afternoons of selfies in between shopping and sipping champagne.

All Hands on Deck for Live Music & Movement!

Lido Marina Village uses its gorgeous outdoor spaces to the fullest. Four days a week, you can enjoy live music from their large outdoor deck. Soak up the sun and music while watching sailboats glide by. You can also get in a workout at one of the many free exercise events Lido Marina Village hosts on their Lido Deck. These events are free to the public and are easily as picturesque of a workout as you’ll ever experience. Check out the details on their website: LIDO MARINA VILLAGE

Five Star Foodie Finds

It’s a little unfair how many fantastic restaurants are located in this village. You can’t go wrong with a meal from any of these waterfront establishments. But our favorite spot for brunch and dinner would have to be Malibu Farms. The wall-less building invites a chic and romantic ambiance while the food is the pinnacle of fresh SoCal cuisine. For fresh seafood fried to perfection, Circle Hook is your place. The scene here is casual, but the food is no laughing matter. It’s staggeringly good! No trip to Lido Marina Village is complete without stopping in Rye Goods, an LA-original sourdough bakery with killer desserts and pastries.

A Breath of Fresh Air for Your Wardrobe

California’s coastal style can be found up and down the brick-lane of Lido Marina Village. Jenni Kayne is the locals’ favorite label because it specializes in easy, but elegant fashion for everyday wear. Clare V, on the other hand, takes its inspiration from French style but then adds a playful California twist to their designs with bright, fun accessories and wardrobe staples. Faherty is our go-to place anytime we need to upgrade anything ranging from home decor to hostess gifts to one-of-a-kind beachy glam.

A Boost to Your Beauty Routine

In a world of sponsored beauty bloggers, it’s tough to know which products are worth your hard earned cash. Lido Marina Village, however, has done the work of curating the most credible and celebrated beauty lines to date. Aesop has developed clean and pristine products that only use natural ingredients and somehow get their products to smell out-of-this-world. Le Labo sells – hands-down – the best scented candles and fragrances you’ll find. In fact, every other person you walk past in the streets of Hollywood can be found wearing Santal 26. And if you want to give your entire beauty routine an upgrade, Cos Bar carries the cream of the crop in makeup and beauty lines.

But Wait There’s More… A Pop-Up Artisan Market

Every Wednesday, pop-up tents selling local produce and artisan goods line the cobblestoned street of Lido Marina Village, transforming this quiet center into a full-fledged Farmer’s Market. Due to COVID-19, the Farmer’s Market has been put on pause with plans to reopen this summer. In the meantime, Lido Marina Village is still blooming with whimsical shops and merchants. French Buckets sells beautiful blooms al fresco from noon-5:00pm every day of the week. Follow your nose to the corner of the “secret alley” and Via Oporto and you’ll be greeted by a cart full of flowers. Then, you and your new bouquet should absolutely stop into Lido Village Books, the most magical bookstore you’ve ever laid eyes on to round out your day of exploring.
