Reach New Heights at The Great Pacific Air Show October 1-3, 2021
We feel for the parents with napping children during the weekend of the Great Pacific Air Show. This event is LOUD – but immensely impressive. US military planes perform their most jaw-dropping maneuvers above hordes of crowds along the coast for an entire long weekend. And this year, the air show is reaching new heights. Along with three days of aerobatic demonstrations that will have you screaming with fear and delight, there will also be tons of live music and fabulous food. It’s basically a Coachella on the coast with cool planes performing crazy stunts. What more could you ask for?

Foodies and Wine Snobs Unite at Newport’s
Two Food Festivals
This year, Newport Beach’s two most exclusive food and wine festivals are happening in the same month. Some may think this is a little excessive, but in this town, we like to indulge. And once you experience the caliber and class of these events, we guarantee you will not only drink the kool aid, but you’ll be asking for seconds! At each festival, you can wine and dine with the most notable chefs in Southern California, and attend panels, tastings, and waterfront soirees. For folks who want the inside scoop on the latest and greatest from the culinary world, these events are for you.

Hollywood Gets Salty at the Newport Beach
Film Festival October 21-28, 2021
Newport Beach is rolling out its red carpet in October for a week of films and documentaries from Hollywood’s up-and-coming talent. And in true Newport fashion, this event is quite the scene, with over 56,000 attendees expected this year. Each screening venue will be decked out in glitz and glamor to host movies, panel discussions, and post-screening parties. Tickets range in price based on how much of the fun you want to access. All we know is: get your tickets now if you want exclusive access to the movies and documentaries that will eventually make their way to the Oscars stage.

Top Notch Music Al Fresco at the Newport Beach
Jazz Festival October 8-10, 2021
If you’re anything like us and have felt music-deprived this past year, run to the Newport Beach Jazz Festival. This weekend will be full of jazz performances so tight, it’ll make you giddy. We especially love this festival because of its prime location and venue. The outdoor amphitheater is intimate and overlooks Newport’s Back Bay, which is the only way to groove to music from the best jazz artists alive. Grammy award-winning Anthony Hamilton, the powerhouse band Tower of Power, and top violinist Damien Escobar are just a few guests in this mega-lineup.

Not a So-So Sandcastle to be Found at the Newport Beach Sandcastle Contest
These are not your typical sandcastles made with a bucket and shovel. We still don’t know the official date, but we had to let you know that Newport’s annual Sandcastle Contest will be returning sometime in October! And this event is truly a drop-whatever-you’re-doing-and-go type of event. Your eyes simply won’t believe that these works of art are made of sand. But once you see the bulldozers, tools, gadgets, and artists required to construct these castles, you’ll understand that sandcastle-building is a serious and jaw-dropping enterprise. Follow their Instagram page to see past years’ creations as well as get updates on when this year’s contest will take place.
And with so much to see and do in Newport Beach this Fall, we recommend you book yourself a vacation home so you can enjoy it all in comfort! These homes are centrally located, fully-stocked, and squeaky clean, so you can focus on the sights and delights of Newport.
